The Department of Tourism assigned the preparation of project reports on development of tourist villages in Kashmir to INTACH, JK Chapter. These reports have been prepared with an objective to promote tourism in the less ventured lands of Kashmir by highlighting the regions’ natural and cultural heritage. The emphasis is on the local folk tradition called band pathar; and /or on eco and cultural tourism. The following reports have been submitted to the government of Jammu and Kashmir. These are indicated as:

  • Akingam
  • Wathora
  • Gohan
  • Chahal
  • Dandmoh
  • Tulmulla
  • Manasbal
  • Vasaknag
